Here at Dickman Road Veterinary Clinic, we are here for you and your pet. We understand how difficult a cancer diagnosis can be so we are here to help! We can guide you through the process, answering all your questions, so that you can make the right decision for you and your loved pet.
It is important to schedule an appointment with us so that we have time to discuss the different treatment options that you may have. Surgery is usually best, if we are able to remove the cancerous tumor. However, it is not always possible so we also offer chemotherapy.
Pets do much better with these treatments than we do. They often do not suffer through the side effects of the treatment, which can be as hard as the disease. For this reason, we will be happy to treat your pets with chemotherapy.
However, there are times when the best that we can do is treat the symptoms. We will do everything that we can to keep your pet as comfortable as possible. We want your pet to have a good quality of life, through it all.
Diet is also important when pets have cancer so be sure to discuss your pet’s diet with us whenever you visit our hospital.
A cancer diagnosis is very scary but always remember that we are here to help you and your pet through this difficult time. Don’t hesitate to contact us here at (269) 963-9347 so that we can answer any of your questions.
